We have a lot of experience in the recycled plastic sunglasses game. Moonshine has been making recycled sunglasses since 2016. Our ultimate goal has always been to produce sunglasses in the most Eco-Friendly, Sustainable way possible.

Made from plastic recovered from Britains coastline. Aswell as collecting plastic from our own local beaches we work with community beach clean groups to gather the raw ingredients for each frame.

No other brand designs, collects the materials and moulds their sunglasses right here in Britain!

We clean, shred and inject this recovered material into our custom moulding machinery right here in Liverpool.

 Every set is UNIQUE!

When we inject the plastic into the mould, it makes unique pattern and swirls.

There will NEVER be another set the same.

Depending on the colour of the raw material it is possible to achieve solid colours, mixed colours or even translucents.

The beauty is that we don't really know what each frame will look like until we open the mould.

Our lenses are exactly the same as used by Oakley! We have the lens blanks cut in the UK by our friendly local optical lab. We want to keep production really local and this is by far the best option.

This model is moulded and fitted out entirely at our Liverpool workshop by us, by hand.

Because of the unique challenges involved with the moulding and production of sunglasses from recovered ocean plastic (No external processing here) it is only really possible to make every set by hand.

Each set of ReMix Ultra takes over 3 hours to fit out and cannot be done mechanically. Your sunnies are handcrafted with passion.

We deliberately stayed kind of close to the ReMix 2 design as it's proven to be the most popular style over the years.
