This is such a cool vintage snake ring.  It features a triple coiled serpent, crafted in 9ct gold with lovely ruby eyes.   

This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment;  It has been widely believed since the Roman times, that the continuous snake represented everlasting love.

This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and is fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1970. It weighs a heavy 6.15g and measures 1.5cm accross the gallery, providing lovely finger coverage.  It is currently a UK size P (US size 8).

Queen Victoria was an enthusiast of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, which symbolised his everlasting love.
