How to Use Glaze Dipping Tongs

1. Ensure your piece is bisque-fired and free of dust.
2. Open the tongs and gently press the tips into the inner foot or rim of your piece—ideally where any slight marks will be least noticeable.
3. Dip your piece steadily into your glaze bucket at an angle to reduce air bubbles and create an even coat.
4. Lift and hold the piece over the bucket for a few seconds to let excess glaze drip off.
5. Place the piece on a clean surface or kiln shelf to dry—touch up the grip marks with a brush if desired.
