Having experienced the influx of technology in our world, I have always been both appreciative, of how much easier it has made many otherwise arduous tasks and awed by the engineering science behind it all. In this collagraph the lines and shapes not only reflect the patterns that power the electronics of today but are a nod to artists like Mondrian whose geometric shapes and patterns were key elements of abstraction. As with each of my assemblages it starts with an artist print and is built with jewelry wires, silver leaf, Swarovski crystals, hardware nails and more. The sculpture is interactive with two views accessed by a page turning motion.
