The Audix VX5 is a versatile, professional-grade vocal condenser microphone crafted for live performances, studio recordings, and broadcast environments. It replicates studio-quality sound on stage with a smooth and accurate frequency response, exceptional feedback resistance, and the ability to handle very high sound pressure levels (SPL) without distortion.

Designed with a tight, uniformly controlled supercardioid polar pattern, the VX5 effectively isolates vocals from stage noise. Key features include a 14 mm gold vapor diaphragm, an acoustically ported steel mesh grill with a multi-stage pop filter, a -10 dB pad, and a bass roll-off filter. It can handle SPLs exceeding 140 dB (when pad and roll-off are engaged) and provides more than 20 dB of ambient noise rejection in live settings.

Besides vocals, the VX5 excels at capturing acoustic instruments such as guitars, woodwinds, brass, percussion toys, drum overheads, hi-hats, and pianos. It requires 18 - 52 V phantom power for operation.
