Ruby red with garnet highlights, a fine and elegant bouquet of violets, red fruit and delicate tertiary, spicy and toasted notes. Intense and complex on the palate, with fruity, ethereal and tertiary aromas. Harmonious and velvety, it has smooth tannins, pleasant freshness and a savoury flavour. Lingering and persistent finish.

Pajé is one of the historical vineyards of Barbaresco, situated in the middle of the village vineyards. The name comes from Piedmontese dialect and means the old land parcels cultivated with vines. The Pajé cru is particularly rich in calcareous marl, with a high content of active limestone, and is a natural amphitheatre which opens out onto the Tanaro valley. The river helps mitigate the cold winters and hot summers, creating a perfect microclimate for the vine. The plants in the vineyard are between 25 and 50 years old and entirely of mass origin.

Roagna’s Barbaresco Pajé is a wine with a great structure. Perfect served with braised red meats, game and strongly flavoured, elaborately prepared, aromatic and spicy red meat dishes.
