If you want faster acceleration, and an engine that responds faster to your gas pedal, then this is going to help big time. The factory Neon flywheel weighs in at a heavy 25 lbs, and the Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel is 13 lbs. Shaving 12 lbs off of the rotating assembly is substantial! 

By reducing the amount of rotating mass on the engine, you allow the engine to rev faster, and you can build acceleration faster. The only downside to an aluminum flywheel is it can be noisier at idle, and at first it can be a little more difficult to drive because between gears the rpms will fall faster. You'll adjust to the driving style of the car without even noticing, and you'll enjoy your Neon being more rev happy and quicker!

This flywheel is American made, and has a rebuild-able friction surface should you ever need to replace it.

Note: There are two types of clutches used with the 1995-2005 Neon and 01-10 PT Cruiser with non turbo engine. Modular, where the clutch and flywheel are riveted together in one assembly, and non-modular, where the two pieces are separate and bolted together. This flywheel will only work with the non-modular style clutch (e.g. 1995 Neon style clutch). If you currently have a modular clutch assembly, and want to use this, you will need a non-modular clutch to use along with this flywheel, and the corresponding shorter bolts to bolt the clutch to the crankshaft for use with a non modular assembly.
